Foreclosure is the procees by which a lender sells mortgage property to satisfy mortgage debt when the loan is in default. In Texas lenders must give at least 20 days' notice of their intent to accellerate a mortgage if your principal residence is in the state. Notice of foreclosure sale must be "posted" in the county courthouse at elast 21 days prior to the sale.
